Bible verses for self confidence

Have you ever felt as though you were not good enough? I know I am guilty of feeling that way time and time again. If you have never felt that way then I truly envy you.

There are many things I would love to accomplish in my life but all too often I find myself saying or thinking to myself surely it can only be done by others not me. "Who am I to think I can do such great things?"

What I fail to tell myself is of course I’m not good enough and of course I can’t accomplish such big things alone! And honestly God doesn't expect me to go at it alone. According to the word of God ( Philippians 4:13) "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."  I don’t need to be big, great or super intelligent I just have to believe and chase my dreams with vigor having faith that what God said he will do, he will do; and what he says I can do, I can do and he will be with me every step of the way.

If you need encouragement today  and are  looking for a scripture to help fight through fear and doubt I invite you to go read Matthew 17:14-20; this section of the bible tells a story of how Jesus' disciples had failed to cast the devil out of a certain man's son. When the disciples later asked Jesus why they had failed to heal the child, he told them it was because of their unbelief. At the end of verse 20 Jesus says "...NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU."

We do not have faith to believe that we can access all the promises God has in store for us all too often. We live below our full potential because we do not fully comprehend what we are capable of through Christ. Next time you find yourself discouraged, worried, and full of self-doubt, remember that God said with faith, Nothing is impossible to you, and God does not lie (Numbers 23:19).
